Our most popular 50lb tensile Standard Strength Ties are made from nylon 6/6 which provides for a lightweight and wide temperature range product. Nylon does not give off toxic or irritating by-products. Nylon 6/6 is hygroscopic and therefore absorbs or releases moisture depending on its environment. Moisture level will affect tensile strength, stiffness and elongation of the product.
